Bluestone Health Project

Hello Bluestone Quarrymen, Masons, Cutters and Crew!

The Bluestone Health Project through NEC at the Bassett Health Network is recruiting participants. The aim of the project is to help prevent lung disease in bluestone workers and masons.

We work for a non-profit research hospital in Cooperstown NY, and are not regulatory in any way. Bluestone is a vital industry to our region, and this research is designed to keep you healthy as you provide for your families.

We need your expertise and experience!

This project, specifically designed for small-scale quarrymen and masons, will evaluate simple, low-cost solutions to reduce silica dust exposure. In addition to assessing dust exposures, we will provide a free comprehensive occupational health exam including pulmonary evaluation and a $100 gift card for your time.
